I’m excited to share that our BackerKit smoke test has gone through with flying colors! 🎉
BackerKit is a bit of an ecosystem all its own, and I had to do some behind-the-scenes wrangling to get everything approved so sorry for the delay — but we’re ready to move forward.

A Note on Shipping Costs in the Survey
If you pledged for digital-only rewards but decide to add physical items in BackerKit, you might see a placeholder shipping cost of $6,500.00 😳 — don’t panic!
That number will drop to the correct amount as soon as you enter your actual shipping address.

Also, I’ve only calculated shipping to the countries where I had backers during the campaign. If you live outside the US and want to add physical items, please email me first so I can check the shipping charges and, if possible, add your country to the list.

Okay, I have finally completed setting up my BackerKit—and wow, it was way more complicated than I expected! 😅
It was absolutely kicking my butt, but I think I’ve succeeded in wrestling it to the ground.

I only had two international backers (and I love you both dearly!)—but wow, that added more complexity than I expected.
International shipping is crazy expensive, but I think we have good workarounds now.
Important note: If you are outside the US, please do not add any extra add-ons that ship from the US (like the champagne flutes or soap), because that will completely mess up your shipping cost. Thanks so much for understanding!

What’s Happening Now

Today, I’m running what BackerKit calls a “Smoke Test”—basically a soft launch where a small percentage of you will get your survey early.
This lets me double-check that everything works (shipping, add-ons, taxes) before everyone else gets their survey.

If you get your survey today:

Please fill it out as soon as you can and let me know if anything looks weird or confusing.

This will help make sure it’s smooth for everyone else.

If you don’t get a survey today:

Don’t worry! Everyone else’s surveys will go out tomorrow once I know all is working perfectly.

Other Fun Updates

I’m working on the coloring book pages right now—they’re coming out beautifully and I can’t wait to share them with you!

The illustrated chapter plates for the books are also turning out magical—I’m thrilled with how they’re looking.

Add-Ons Are Coming & Survey Update

Hey everyone!

First, thank you all for your patience and enthusiasm—it’s been amazing seeing how many of you requested additional items to be offered as add-ons. You all have incredible taste, and I’m thrilled to make these options available for you! 😊

That said, I ran into a tiny bump in the road. Turns out, calling items slightly different names in the Kickstarter rewards and add-ons created a little chaos in the BackerKit setup. Who knew metadata would be a thing for Kickstarter?  Rookie mistake on my part, but don’t worry— it’s all getting untangled!

I’m almost done finalizing everything so that all the items you’ve asked for will be available as add-ons, and the pledge survey will be ready to hit your inbox next week. 🎉

I’m heading out to the lake this weekend (taking some much-needed screen-free time), so I won’t be finishing up the last details until I’m back early next week.

When the survey goes out, I’ll post another update to let you know so you can keep an eye out for it.

Hello, amazing backers!

I’m back from vacation, and I can finally shout it from the rooftops — we did it! 🥳 

Because of your incredible support, all three hardcover books (Books 1–3) in the Rabbit River Saga will include beautiful, illustrated chapter plates. I’m so excited to bring this extra touch of magic to the anniversary editions. 💫

And don't forget - as a special thank-you, I’ll also be sending out a FREE printable Rabbit River Coloring Book to everyone who backed the campaign at any level. Whether you went all in or just grabbed Book 1, this gift is for you. 🎁💖 

And we will be having our night of coloring fun - Color the Magic so stay turned for that! I'm thinking September but don't hold me to it. I have a lot of work ahead of me - getting all these goodies out! But I think it's going to be super fun and can't wait to see you there!

Right now, I’m working behind the scenes to get the BackerKit survey finalized. It’s taking me a little longer than expected (my first time, but I'm sure I'll figure it out! 😉). But you can expect to see your survey arrive next week. Keep an eye on your inbox!

We’re down to the final hour—and I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. This campaign has meant the world to me, and your support has truly brought the Rabbit River Saga to life in a whole new way 💕

We’re currently at $3,593—so close to our $4,000 stretch goal! But I’ve made a decision…

Even if we don’t quite hit the number, I’ll still be including illustrated chapter plates in Book 3 of the Expanded Editions. That way your set will match—and every hardcover will have that extra bit of magic 💖
